T-Cross SE progress

Hi,
I ordered my T-Cross on 18th May and have been following it's progress on the app.

We've ordered the SE model, as it had pretty much all the features I wanted - apart from the rear parking sensors. However, there was an SE model that had just been built in the factory with added rear parking sensors, in the colour (dark petrol blue) AND the wheels (Manila) I wanted. Feel a little like it was meant to be, as I've read a lot of people are waiting a long time for their orders. The dealership told me it would take about 4 weeks before I receive it, but things seem to be moving quickly...
Today I've had the notification that the car has arrived in the UK and I'm super excited!

Just wondered if anyone else is at this stage too? Or further ahead? Has anyone else has ordered the SE?
I was torn between the SE and SEL, but it came down to finances in the end. Plus, there wasn't much more I think I wanted (I hope!!)
I have seen photographs of the interior since ordering, and I have to admit, I didn't realise the air con section at the front was different (and I'm not sure I'm keen! Hoping it'll be fine / I'll get used to it)
Excited but also a bit nervous, as it's such a new car - and a big expense!

Congratulations, that's a bit of a result!

What about the air con is different? Different to what?

The SEL and above has climate control, the SE and below has manual control. I would highly recommend the climate control. You just set it on the temperature you want either side of the car and let it control automatically with or without the air conditioning on.

Ahh I've just realised how long my original post was - sorry! Haha.
Yeah, you see I knew about the climate control, which sounded good, but for the extra money, I wasn't really that bothered. It's more the look of that part of the car. The dials I've seen in the photos since ordering look quite old fashioned and I'm a bit nervous 🙈 hoping it'll be fine once it arrives!
I'm sure the touch screen display will take the focus away from them! Just wondered if anyone else had ordered the SE and what they thought...

I have order my T Cross SE on 12 April and just had update that car arrived in UK.
I expecting (by dealer promise) hand over in mid-June.
I think difference in trim level between SE and SEL not much a part in price.
I Bought last year new Polo SEL with 95 PS with climate control and I chose on T Cross manual Ventilation as is much easier to operate while driving.
Problem I found with climate control on Polo you have to look down while driving to operate and as well climate control switching aircon itself when is not need for it.

Ordered 12/04
Build week 21 (May 20)
Build on 21st May
Arrived in the UK 04/06
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
T Cross SE 115PS
6 speed manual
17" Manila Wheels
Dark Petrol Blue
Titanium Black/Grey
Parking Sensor
Folding Mirrors
Active info display
Space saver spare wheel

It's so exciting when you get the notification that it's arrived in the UK isn't it?! I had it last Wednesday so was hoping for a handover this week / weekend. But my dealer called at the weekend and said it's probably going to be end of next week... the tracker app is a great idea but I let it get my hopes up a bit haha.
I've also ordered in dark petrol blue! ☺&#x1f64c-1f3fc;

Hi there! I'm new to the forums. I ordered a T Cross SE the first weekendin May and currently have a build date of week 26. I'm really interested if you have a photo of your new dark petrol car @Lozzyjay? I ordered Dark petrol but have only seen virtual pictures of what the car looks like in that colour....I'd be really interested to see one in 'reality' . If anyone is able to post a photo of their car in this colour I'd be really grateful! Many thanks! :)

Hi,
I've been the same - not seen a real one. So I've been on Instagram and searching #tcross and everything haha.
My dealer sent me a video of the car now it's arrived though, so I've taken some screen shots for you and will try to attach ☺

Ahh I'm glad it's made you feel better! :) And I'm also glad I'm not the only one who has been searching the internet looking for real life images of the car! haha!
Hope you get yours soon too!

Hi All,
Thought I'd let you know I picked up the new car on Monday! I love it! I wasn't too sure of the colour at first - seemed a little lighter than I'd imagined, but I'm so used to it now and really like! Different to others.
I was surprised that it has automatic lights, as I hadn't seen that on the specification for the SE, so thought I'd missed out. All the gadgets are fab!
It also came with the manual and the VW USB lead for my phone - I've seen a few questions about these. Unfortunately, my mats hadn't arrived in time but the dealer dropped them off for me the next day, so not too bad! Kind of looking for an excuse to go out and drive now - although I think I need to get used to the size (it's a bit larger than my Mini! ha)
I'll upload some photos - hope you all get yours soon! :)

Wow, your T-Cross looks very nice !!

I would be interested in your views on how it drives and the performance of the little engine sometime.

Stunning..

Yes, of course. I haven't driven very far yet, but I have been on the motorway. I'm used to driving a 1.6L engine so it is a bit different. Sometimes I feel like it needs a bit more oomph, but other times I feel like it's quite nippy and picks up speed quickly. I think that's down to my driving though. I need to practise! Haha. I'm pretty confident that I'll get used to it and maybe apply a bit more power a bit sooner.

The drive is really smooth though! Both myself and my husband have commented this. I'm not sure about performance petrol-wise, as I haven't gone far enough yet, nor have I filled it up yet haha. Waiting until it's rather low to see how much a full tank costs ha
