Inside, the rear seats can slide 5.5 inches (14 cm). Depending on their position, the boot area can hold 385 litres to 455 litres. Putting the rear seats down increases the boot space to 1,281 litres. Buyers who need even more room can spec an optional folding front passenger seat, too.
All cars on the MQB-A0 platform have a manual handbrake - e.g. new Ibiza, Polo and Audi A1. Possibly even the new Skoda Scala although Skoda have been allowed to 'stretch' that a bit and it would probably be bigger than what I am looking for to replace my Golf.
Regarding the missing auto handbrake, I think it is a positive thing. I got stuck on an uphill motorway off ramp for 5 minutes when the handbrake would not release. It was a bit scary. My wife simply will not drive the car after that episode! So ideally my replacement car will have a manual handbrake and other features of the T-Cross seem very attractive - dimensions, safety features and practicality.
