Re: Quoted Delivery times

I am sure that is accurate from that dealer. DSG have longer lead times and has been off sale in the UK for a few weeks and has only just come back on. If you want a quicker date, ring round other dealers with your requirements and see who has a stock order that can be converted for you. A stage 2 o...

Re: Left the factory

With timings like yours, you will have a lot of envious people watching.

Given the extended build time (ie a week or so) , it is possible that the body was made before the factory shut down and then assembled afterwards and that yours will be one of the very first MY2020 cars.

Re: STILL WAITING FOR A CONFIRMED BUILD WEEK

The big worry for me is I've just been into the dealership and they informed me that whatever price I agree for a factory build now is fixed but not for anything that happens with Brexit. He said VW were expecting a minimum of 10% import duty from day 1 and this would be added to the price even if ...

Re: Yet(i) another owner in waiting

Re tax, a hard Brexit will mean a 10% Import Tax on day 1 for vehicles made in Countries that we don't have another agreement with ! Says who..?...! You are not part of "project fear" are you..? Re: Build week or two!

It is worth asking VW on the chat service, a quick Google found the following in a Tiguan forum, no idea how accurate it is:- 1. Start production 2. ? 3. Body shop 4. Paint shop 5. Start assembly 6. Assembly 7. Final assembly 8. Production complete, quality check. https://www.tiguanforums.co.uk/view...

Re: Yet(i) another owner in waiting

We will see, there are a few of us with a DSG with a build week 36 & I was concerned that there could be problems with the new emissions certification for it ! My Dealer is still saying end of September which is a tad optimistic. Re tax, a hard Brexit will mean a 10% Import Tax on day 1 for vehicles...

Got a build week of 36 with an estimated delivery in November.

Cheers

Simon
A worrying delay - is that a definite build week 36 ? Did the dealer say why it would take 2 months to deliver and how they would cope with the possible 10% import tax ?
