Re: 1.0 TSI DSG - Whining at slow speeds

I’ve also got the noise but I’ve never thought it was an issue. I quite like it as it sounds like the car is electric. I thought it was related to the 3 cylinder engine with not having had one before. Thinking about it. It could be related to tyres as has been suggested.

Re: Where are you..?

Mine has been parked in the garage for the last 3 weeks but with the weather warming up at least it can come out and be given a polish ready for when life returns to normal.

Re: Engine cutting out at low speed

Mine is auto and I’ve noticed it just twice since I’ve had the car when turning into my road with my foot on the brake but starts again the second I get back on the gas. So not really an issue for me. It hasn’t happened anywhere else either.

Re: Dashcam recommendations

I’ve used the Nextbase Duo in a number of cars and has come in useful for a successful insurance claim. It’s been hardwired by Halfords in one of my cars for a number of years now with no issues. The HD version of the camera in the T Cross is just plugged into the Cigarette Lighter as I change car f...

Re: Tray accessory

Anyone found any nets etc to hold items in the niches against the side panels in the boot ? My Yeti had a bar across these 2 "voids" which held gloves, hi-vis tops etc in place nicely and keeps them clear of the lifting floor. Do a search for the “Stayhold” brand of boot tidies that you can wedge t...

I also had the 7 day free insurance which they arranged for me .
And the plate transfer dealt with by the dealer. I didn’t have any bother.

I’ve seen that for the first time today and both hands were firmly on the steering wheel.

Re: Creaking, squeaking and cracking noise

Yes .. mine is the same tried banging dashboard and that sort of thing but everything is solid and no movement. So as it goes off when car is warm I’ve left it for the moment. Mine is just creaking. Perhaps yours is worse than mine.
