Re: Plastic Trim Covering Sills

My road was surface dressed 2 years ago and stones are still getting brought indoors on shoe soles!!
What about having a clear plastic protective film stuck on the sill, similar to that fitted to the front of the wheel arch on some cars?

Re: Keeping finger prints of your touchscreen

That's a good spot!! I'm finding the finger prints really annoying. Just looked online, did you choose matte version for a particular reason over the other options? Plus I noticed your delivery note said T Roc so I guess same screen size?

Re: POLL: Dsg or manual

My aunt struggled with a manual for 10 years or more despite me suggesting an auto. Then, out of the blue, she suddenly appeared in an auto and said she wished she had listened to me years ago!! With all the traffic queues these days I would never go back to a manual!!

Re: POLL: Dsg or manual

My understanding is auto with torque converter uses more fuel, but the T Cross is a computer controlled twin clutch system which is more economical than torque converter but uses fractionally more fuel than a normal gearbox due to a little extra weight.

Re: Not quite decided?

Re: Engine cutting out at low speed

That's my problem. The way stop/start works is ridiculous!! Surely the logical way would have been brake for engine stop, then press accelerator for restart. It is currently all done on the brake pedal alone and only a fraction of variation of pressure on the brake pedal causes it to restart, so fru...

Re: Engine light after 80 miles!

Fault was the glow plug control module, replaced - 1st time that they have had this on a T-Cross apparently. Courtesy car was a R-Line, strangely it didn't feel the same as the SEL. Nothing that I could pin down other than noticing the rear disc brakes on the the R-Line felt different to the drums ...
