Re: Reverse brake assist + suspension heights

I don't think they install transport pucks on rear suspension as it's a different system, the shock absorbers have hard plastic dust covers which cannot be lifted to install the pucks. The factory only install transport pucks on the front suspension which is a MacPherson system with the dust cover f...

Re: Battery Charger

Any modern car with Start/Stop system has some sort of BMS and that includes the T-Cross. I fixed my negative lead to the bolt in front of the battery which holds the bracket in place. I'll get a photo of it when I get home.

Re: Options

Haven't tried it on the T-Cross yet but on my old MK7 GTI the SS restart was also using the ACC front radar to detect when the car in front was moving away, I always found that useful.

Re: Unleaded or premium unleaded

Always use what it says on the fuel cap and in the manual which on the T-Cross it's 95 RON. Unless you have a sports car which requires high octane then you will not notice any difference or gains from it. The small engine timing and injection map is not set to take advantage of the higher octane ra...

If it's not a safety recall then it is usually applied during the next service.

Re: KESSY Keyless System

you should be ok removing the battery. Had done this in my GTI and never had issues with the second key. As soon as you put the battery in you can unlock/start the car with it just fine. Regarding key going to standby after a period of inactivity that is true. To bring keyless functionality back you...

Re: Spare Wheel

Most of the times that won't work, it depends on the center bore size and the wheel PCD and ET. VW has 57.1 mm bore and 5x100 PCD, not sure about Fords but I think they go with 5x108 mm.

Re: Using deionised water for car washing

Those deionising filters are not that great. Just use a good rinse aid like FIreball ultimate or Autofinesse Aqua Coat, you just simply spray on the wet car then rinse it and the water just beads off the paintwork. You can then dry it with good microfiber towels. I recommend you seal the paint with ...
