Re: Android auto blank maps

It works on the phone, however having checked and logged on to Android Auto in the car and then plugged the phone in the maps appeared. The phone only works with the lead provided by VW.

VW and their dealers

Having seen a number of posts from owners about lack of information and poor advice from dealers, this being my first VW vehicle in 50 years of car ownership, I have to say that whilst I am very happy with the car however I have not been impressed by the service I have received from VW and the deale...

Android auto blank maps

Can anyone help me?

I was using Waze as a map as I found it very good and informative, however I now get blank screens (see photos) when I use Waze or Googlemaps, can anyone explain why this is?

Re: Spare wheel. Conflicting advice from dealer.

Rubbish. A full size or space saver will fit in the well in the boot. I can't see them moving even if they are not bolted down. VW used to have a space saver as an optional extra, I don't know whether that's still the case, so they obviously had no issue.

Re: Engine cutting out at low speed

There is a difference between the engine stalling and cutting out due to the stop/start system. The engine will restart eventually by depressing the clutch or waggling the steering wheel if the stop/start system cuts it out, however it takes a few seconds and if you are stuck across a road junction ...

Re: Thoughts on the T-Cross?

I did a lot of research before buying mine. I traded in a Mazda CX3 which was similar in size but had a small boot. I'm very happy apart from a couple of minor niggles. Given the choice again I would go for the DSG and add a rear camera.

Re: TCross stalls in 2nd Gear

The stalling is covered in other posts. I asked the dealer to investigate when I took it in for it's first service and registered it as a defect. I was told there is no software fix for it. It is very dangerous when it happens.

Re: The car is now 1 year old

The first 2 services are free as part of the purchase deal. The first service is just an oil change and car check.

Re: The car is now 1 year old

I took the car in on Friday for the first service (oil change and car inspection), it took 2 hours. They wanted £20 for a loan car so I decided to do the shopping locally whilst I waited. They did the dash/A pillar noise problem saying it had to be tackled from behind the glove box not by removing t...

The car is now 1 year old

Having had the car a year next week the first service is due. However under current restrictions the main dealer is closed for all but urgent works, and I'm not too inclined to venture out unnecessarily. I assume there won't be any issues with VW in not meeting the service schedules should it be del...
