Had occasion to use my horn for the first time having had the car since July, well what a disappointment!!! The horn on my Golf was a really throaty monster, this one on my T-Cross sounds a bit like a Noddy car.

Given how pleased I am with the car, especially after sorting how to easily switch off lane control, I can live with this . It certainly doesn't fit the chunky image of the car though!

Found this very funny video, danish but it makes the point!!!

Golf has a dual tone horn (2 separate sirens) which is why it is more noticeable. T-Cross has only a single tone horn, most likely to keep costs down. You can get a splitter from the likes of Kufatec and install a second tone horn but for the number of times you use it during the car ownership is not worth. T-Roc owners have the same issue with the horn.

Thanks GeoBog, I did read the thread on the T-Roc owners forum and having seen some of the solutions, I too came to the conclusion to live with it. Never the less it is a disappointing sound for such a strong looking car!!
