Automatic Emergency Stop

I have experienced this twice now, once in a car park with no moving vehicles in the vicinity and more worryingly the other time was at 60mph on an empty motorway.

Has anyone else experienced similar or know whether it's a software fault or is there an accessible sensor that could need cleaning or replacing?

Pain when it happens - sometimes I think that a blade of grass can set it off. Usually you are safe but anyone behind you and yourself need new underpants!

I'm very tempted to turn it off t.b.h.

All this wonderful tech stuff is great WHEN it works but potentially very dangerous when it doesn't.

I'd be very interested in how many who have had this experience have kept it switched on.

many of us turned down the sensitivity then it happens rarely.

How do you adjust the sensitivity? BTW the sensor is behind the big VW badge in the centre of the grille

I'm sure there's a setting under car on the head unit.
