Chinese VW T-Cross 2022/2023 – GPS shows China, Chinese voice, no Android AutO

Hi everyone — I bought a VW T-Cross imported from China (Nov/2022, currently in Algeria). The factory infotainment is not Android and has serious problems:

GPS always shows a China/Taiwan location even when I’m in Algeria.
A voice (female, Chinese) repeats periodically (about every 30s or so).
“Android CarPlay” does not work for Android phones; only iPhone CarPlay works.
I want to either replace the OEM system with an Android firmware or flash an international firmware — but I’m new to this and don’t want to brick the unit

Can anyone tell me:

Has anyone converted a Chinese-spec T-Cross head unit to Android or an international firmware? Any working firmware images or guides.
What exact information should I post here so you can check compatibility (I can post photos/screenshots)?
Any tutorials, threads, or YouTube videos you recommend for T-Cross (China spec) specifically?

A Chinese female voice keeps repeating every minute.
Android Auto doesn’t work (only Apple CarPlay).

I want to change the system or install an international/Android firmware without risk.
