Hi everyone,

I just bought VW T-CROSS from the VW dealership last month and unfortunately the dashboard shown Errors lights for "brake servo restricted" & "Start-Stop System", I drive back to the dealership for a check and the VW technician said they need replace the "ABS control unit" for my car to try whether can fix the issues, the mileage of my vehicle only has 2000 miles... Did anyone have these experiences? Thanks.

I haven't seen that personally. Let them go ahead and replace the ABS control unit . If that does not clear the fault they will further investigate to chase down the fault. Good luck with getting in back on the road.

If you have any more problems, I would consider rejecting the car and getting a replacement..!
I think so, I consider a replacement from the dealership for approved used 2018 Volkswagen T-ROC (2017 2.0 TSI SEL 190PS 4MOTION DSG) or 2020 Volkswagen Polo
MK6 Hatchback 5Dr 2.0 TSI 200PS GTI Plus DSG in Auto gear & petrol version instead of the T-cross R-Line.

Not sure if ABS unit replacement will cure the issue with servo, that usually is caused by the brake vacuum pump going bad so you lose pedal servo assist and the pedal is harder to press once servo is gone. Anyway is bad luck this happened to a brand new car, I had this issue on another car brand and after replacing the vacuum pump/drum the issue was resolved.
