My car is being built this week (wk33) it's at point 3 out of 8 in the factory build process according to VW customer services, whatever that means?

For those who have their cars how long did yours take from being built to factory, I understand it doesn't leave Pamplona straight to the boat but a ruff guide would be useful.

Wow! I ordered mine on the 24th May and it's being made week 34. A week after yours, I don't know why it's taken so long.
It's just a silver SEL with a few extras. I hope the delivery is super fast.

I received a notification on July 2nd that my car had left the factory. As of today, it has still not arrived in the UK or at least I have not received any notification indicating it has. That is six weeks so far.

There are currently two ships (Pegasus Ace and Comet Ace) arriving at the Port of Tyne over the next week, so hopefully my car is on board one of them. If it is, the journey from factory to dealer will have taken around 8 weeks.

I ordered my car on 11th May and wanted it for end September. Unfortunately I'm still stuck at stage 2. The dealership I ordered it with have given me an unconfirmed build week 37. Knowing my luck it will be stuck in transit somewhere in Europe after 31st October and then I'll never get it. I'm not impressed with VW's inability to manufacture cars on schedule...

It turns out that my car is on the Comet Ace and that ship is unloading cars in the Port of Tyne as I type :D . Hopefully, my car should be at the dealer by the end of next week. That's the good news, the less good is that my dealer has informed me that I cannot have a 69 plate as my car must be registered by August 31st :(

See the Derogation thread, one dealer was offering £500 for early registration
