After ordering in mid-February, then Spanish lockdown happening the week before my build week, my car is finally on its way.

As usual the tracker hasn't been updating as it went for "build week confirmed" straight to "in transit". According to my dealer it left the factory on the16th/17th June. So hopefully I'll get it before the end of July.

The closer it gets, the harder it is to wait!

When you are told its at the dealers, but you can't get it fora day or two, its almost painful.

Just home. It was chucking it down when I collected. Just saw it looks like little rust spots on the chrome by windows. Should this just wipe off? I'm assuming from salt at the docks. I'm not going back to the dealer today

Didn't have that on mine, I would hope it would wipe away with a soft soapy cloth. Should have been dealt with by their preparation department. If it doesn't I would go back tomorrow saying "If this was your new car, would you be happy?" That should get a reaction. Just a thought, could it be dried birdie poo?

I spoke to them, I'm going back tomorrow. If it doesn't valet off, they'll replace the chrome. They've had it once before also on a T Cross. A faff to go back but they're extremely nice and want to sort it

The marks have come off with specialist cleaning. They're now plugging it in as I had the yellow triangle with ! On the way here. Then it went.

It's the central warning lamp saying something about fluids

One thing, does anyone find the armrest gets in the way when using the handbrake?

so nothing showed up on the plugging in and no further warning lights.. very odd

meanwhile my back aches, I thought the sports seats were firmer. I am sure I will find a comfy position, having driven Hyundai for 6 years which were much firmer, I just need to adapt

When the armrest is in the forward position it can, slightly , obstruct use of the handbrake, but not in the rear position. I tend to only slide it forward on longer journeys..

Yes, think I'll do the same.

It's so weird driving something so different after a long time. It'll be like second nature soon

After 13 years driving a Toyota Corolla, the T-Cross is so very different (in many good ways)... the biggest challenge is that the wiper and indicator stalks are on the opposite side of the wheel to the Corolla. For the first few days (and even now if I'm not paying attention) I have been going around roundabouts with my wipers on.

Lol. Yes, I had 2 Hyundai ix20s and lovely car. The gear change (automatic) on the last one was a much smoother change and as you say the functions were on opp stalks to now.

However love the upto date things I can do on this car, it's very similar in size to the ix20. Only thing I need to get to grips with is not having the reversing camera.
