Hello everybody
I have a 2022 T-Cross RLine with a tow ball fitted including a 7 pin flat plug. The dealer stated that I cannot tow anything that has LED lights as they will not operate. He also stated I will need a LED Light Trailer Load Box Adaptor ($229.00 AUD). I only want to put a light bar on my bike rack. I Has anyone heard of this. Thank you

Don't know specifically about your wiring, but VW pass a small current down the lights to determine if there's a circuit or a bulb's blown, and for the tow circuitry to determine if there's a trailer attached.

I'm sure there are other cars with this issue, and alternative solutions available at a more affordable price. It basically needs some resistance in the trailer light circuit. You may even find the LED light bar already solves this issue. Worst that happens it doesn't detect the light board.
