Good point, I'll ask for hard copy when we collect ours. I would not trust electronic only, my Tiguan has had regular annual services at a main dealer. The electronic record shows the first and third services but not the second. I've approached VW several times about correcting this and have been told it's sorted, but last I looked it was still missing the record.
Good job the service record book is filled in and stamped and I have the invoice.
I've had invoices for all the services I've had even under the service agreement. But it does carry quite the same weight as a properly completed and stamped service book. I asked today about it explaining my reasons, and the salesman is investigating if he can get one.
