I have it,,,,, works a treat,,,, but no idea what security sleep is, read manual through and dont remember a reference to it.
Tbh im not worried.... if anyone has a scanner thing theres much more desirable cars.
Some key fobs go dormant for security when they have been still for a while. Latest security method development, just wondered if ours had been updated. Mine will be keyless if it reappears from VW's black hole😁
If the key has a dormant state won't it go to sleep and not allow the car to be opened ?
A quick shake of the key may then wake it up and then the car should open?
No idea if this will work, but maybe worth a try..
Just spoken to very helpful lady at VW Head office. Some cars do have key fobs with a sleep mode but until my car appears and I have the VIN no. wont be able to find out.
