I've just purchased an 18 month old T Cross after having many VW polo's
Love it although the jury's out on the lane assist...going to try turning it off tomorrow

I turn it off every time....I don't like the car steering itself...!.....great car though..enjoy..!

I wish you could permanently disable it . I really don't like this trend in car design with the ever increasing creep of electronic sensors in cars. Software and main computer faults can be an expensive nightmare to resolve. This is the price we pay for improved economy and pollution control I guess. I don't buy the safety advantage.

JSFN quick way of turning it off, left hand steering wheel switches, bottom right (a car with brackets all round), brings up assist menu, then right hand set, OK in the middle turns of steering assist which is first on the list, don't touch anything else, this menu goes away after about a minute.

All on steering, after a while you don't even have to look. Unfortunately this is only off per journey, but an easy thing to do.
