Is it correct that there is no actual service book to have stamped? And if that is the case in the event of selling privately in the future how would have proof of service history?
Good point, ive got no service book but ive this ,,,, i assume you get another updated on each service.
Not sure how next owner checks it though... dealer email on monday
I have had one on my Audi (just part exchanged) for years.
Every time you have a service you get a new cumulative version, the Audi dealer also stamped it. I had no problems with this getting accepted as proof of service when I part exchanged it.
I believe that it can be checked (somehow) by quoting the reference code on it.
