My t-cross came with a completely unnescessary - imho - cd player/sd card reader in the glove comparent (I only use CarPlay) that takes up all the space in an already crammed compartment. I was wondering if anyone has successfully removed the box without it causing issues with the infotainment system or other issues, like; is there a backwall behind it?

The box you refer to is the main logic for the media/nav system. The part you see on the dash is just the display! So no, you can't take it out.

P.S. There's a pull out draw under the RH seat!
