So it seems the engine power has been reduced from 115ps to 110ps, why, is this a new engine of have VW reduced the power output for a specific reason?
Other changes the 2021 has no SD card slots and CD. What else has changed?

There have been some posts about changes to the Infotainment functionality in the 2021 MY from previous years

The previous 115HP engine is not RDE2 compliant whereas the 110HP unit is, so presumably that is the reason behind the change - although there is a technical drop in horsepower it doesn't really translate into a performance drop - 0-60mph is 9.6 seconds for the 110HP compared to 9.9 for the 115; torque remains the same at 200Nm, with top speed dropping from 120 to 117 mph (both of which of course are far beyond the legal maxima (at least in the UK).

Obviously the gearing has been lowered slightly which has the effect of reducing the top speed and improving ( marginally ) acceleration. It also theoretically means that the fuel consumption may be marginally worsened. Neither the fuel consumption or the performance change will likely be noticeable.
