VW's equivalent of the SEAT Arona, the T-Cross will serve as the company's most affordable high-riding model until the arrival of an even smaller up!-based model in a few years time.

While the T-Roc rides on the regular MQB platform, this one shares the MQB A0 with the Polo hatchback. One other notable difference is that the cheaper model won't be available with AWD.

We can confirm that the T-Cross will be offered with two versions of the 1.0 TSI, producing 95 and 115 HP. They should be joined by a 1.5 TSI with 150 HP. A 1.6 TDI may or may not come, as Audi launched the new A1 Sportback without a diesel engine.
