1 litre engine recall

Post by Tricky2 » Thu Aug 13, 2020 12:53 pm

Just heard of this via the T-Roc forum:

A recall for the T ROC 1 LTR and Seat 1 ltr some thing to do with the fuel injection Received an e/mail from a car magazine who mentioned this but nothing from VW themselves

A quick check out https://car-recalls.eu/ revealed this https://car-recalls.eu/vw-skoda-seat-1- ... injectors/

Checking https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-recall site shows no SAFETY recalls for my cross, though it might not show if it isn't a safety issue.

The government website I think only lists SAFETY recalls, so if it's not got a safety impact they don't bother. Used to be you could find under the VW website, owner section recalls on your vehicle, but I can't find it anywhere now. Another casualty of the new website design.

If it's not a safety recall then it is usually applied during the next service.

Was in last week for my Tiguan service, so I asked whether this applied to our cross. The agent checked the VIN and confirmed it wasn't related to our car (well the misses car actually)

Just entered my registration on the Government website for recalls, came up clear. Anyone else tried this?

"30 days to oil change service" message came up today, so will also check with dealer when I book the service.
