Order

Post by Valley Parade » Fri May 24, 2019 4:36 pm

Anyone out there having trouble obtaining build date on a factory order. App says is with the factory but hasn't moved for weeks. Nothing positive from dealer. Thanks.

Your dealer will have a confirmed build week before the app.

When did you order and what approximate build week did you get at the time?
R-line,white + winter pack, park assist, beats.
- Ordered: 23.04.19
- build week 23 (03.06.19)
- stage 5 (in transit) on 02.06.19
-stage 6 on 23.06.19 (arrived in the U.K.)
-app stage 7 27.06.19 (though was at dealer from 25th).
- collected 28.06.19

Hi Valley Parade - welcome! Sorry to hear you are having a bit of trouble with the progress of your order. I was a bit more fortunate, maybe because I ordered very soon after ordering opened. You seem to be finding your dealer not so helpful. In that case you could try e-mailing VW Customer Care. They have more direct access to the system and usually they will happily share the information they have. A polite request for more details of your order might well yield results. The VW website has a ‘contact us’ section where you can directly input your query. Or you can phone as well if you prefer - 0114 450 3176.
Hope this helps! Good luck.
T-Cross SEL manual 115PS ordered 7/3/19. Extras: Deep Black Pearl, folding door mirrors, winter pack and rear view camera. Car was built 15/4/19 - delivery due mid May. Handover was on Monday 3rd June.

Than you. Already had dealings with Customer Care over length of time for me to access order on the app! Awaiting response from dealer. Will perhaps leave it a few days. Last 3 Golfs purchased from stock. Not used to the wait.

I thought they would use my order on their allocation. Vague when ordering. Even vaguer now. Possible quarter 4, wouldn't mind as much if the app moved along,

Apparently VW have had a surge of petrol engine orders. What with Diesel gate and the decline in these engines you would have thought they would have seen this coming.

If you look on the T-Troc forum you will see lots of parallels in terms of order times, delays, poor information, communications and customer service.

Build date now w/c 8th July. Not bad in the shape of things. Mind you now particularly impressed with the drive and handling of my Golf. No 3. Don't know why. Just happened. With age decided the need for a vehicle to slide in rather than fall in and to make exit easier. Hope I won't regret it!

You won't..! I have the same problem, it's much easier to get in and out than a "standard height" car..!
