Hi

In previous posts it seemed that a few of were week 36ers when it came to our T Cross builds.

Well the week is here... Has anyone had their order progress update to Build In Progress yet?

As you can probably guess I haven't

Thanks

Simon

Not yet, however the week is young and the tracker slow.

Mine was scheduled for week 36 and on Sunday mine went to built and in transit I received a VW text.. It never showed the being built stage. Went straight from build week to in transit ..Today the dealer messaged to confirm it was built and on its way to the ship.

Did the dealer say how shipping works, does it go direct from Santander to the UK ?

They didn't mention it but I presume its Santander to Port of Tyne. A relatively short trip.

The website version of the tracker says an average of 4 weeks for a T Cross to reach the dealer... So yes I reckon early October. 😁

Well done to you both, mine is still showing stage 3, however I only ordered in April !

I also had the text today regarding the transition to Stage 5 from Stage 3 on the tracker.
My dealer has estimated a collection date of the last week in September/first week of October but that may be a bit optimistic.
Perhaps he had a spare slot to allocate as I seem to have been very lucky with the progress so far, given that I only placed the order on 17th July.

T Cross R Line DSG. Reef Blue.
Spare Wheel.
Folding Mirrors.
Park Assist.
Rear view Camera

This is clearly the week for building a number of DSG cars, let's see what tomorrow brings for my order.

The app is still showing stage 3, however the dealer looked it up on his system and my car is showing as built and awaiting shipment.

My car has left the factory! I can't believe this has finally come around after all these months.
They are quite accurate once it gets to stage 3, mine went to 5a yesterday, however was actually built last week.

The problem with VW order planning is partly due to the VW UK obsession with spreading orders across the network and partly due to the 'factory' being in charge of scheduling and limiting the numbers of the cars by market. Clearly a whole bunch of dsg orders were delayed, presumably due to dsg availability.

I am expecting mine in the 2nd week in October. however we will see.
