You can use Siri by long-pressing the Voice button on the steering wheel when CarPlay is in use. It's way better than the built-in voice activation feature anyway.
I have the voice activation option and it's a pain to dial a contact by name, while Siri works every time. Unless when CarPlay crashes, which happens from time to time...

thank you.. only just thought about it as never used my phone before, not having had any connections on my previous cars.

the OPS, is that ok to use instead of adding rear view camera? again, not had an OPS before. this way if it is ok, i could go for a stock car and not factory ordered which will be quite a wait

OPS tells you when you're close to something, akin to walking with your eyes closed and hand out in front. In no way as Good as a wide panoramic view behind you.

ah thanks, I looked at something online, it was seemingly putting a picture of your car on the normal display, never seen that before. I am test driving on Saturday so will see what's what.

My two last cars had only OPS, now I have only rear camera, IMHO you are good which of the two you choose, in very rare cases you find the camera better.
