Travel Assist is now available on Australian Spec Style and R Line models. I have the coding for the later but you will require a new steering wheel and indicator stalk with Driver Assistance button now on the end of it. The Travel Assist activation button (analogue dial emblem) has replaced the driver assistance button (circle emblem) on the steering wheel. The good news is you can still enable Adaptive Lane Guidance which is part of Travel Assist without any additional hardware using VCDS or OBD11 software

. This will remove the ping-pong effect and keep you in the middle of the lane. It is ideal for motorway or highway driving only and will allow hands free driving for up to 8 seconds to open a drinks bottle unwrap a sandwich etc after that you will get a warning on the dash to take over steering followed by a few audible gongs. If you do not, it will automatically disable itself. I have ACC but it should work with those that have standard cruise control and camera mounted in the windscreen
The coding below will also enable vehicle to remember the last setting in MFD for Lane Assist status ie on or off after the ignition is turned off and the car locked and enable option to turn on or off Adaptive Lane Guidance in the infotainment screen Please note the orange/green Lane Assist light on the instrument panel will not be active when Adaptive Lane Guidance is enabled and active normally from about 60kmph onwards
