Hi, picking up my T cross on WED, sadly it does not have a reversing camera, and I am keen to have one.
Has anyone fitted a camera ? Would it be best to get my dealer do this or are there after market options, any hints and guidance appreciated .
thanks

I have just had a reversing camera fitted. I bought a used T-Cross which had all the spec I wanted, except the camera. The dealer offered a camera fit for about ÂŁ460, it fitted into the number plate light housing. Research showed VW can be fitted with hi or low line reversing cameras. The hi line has the moving guides. I suspect the 460 camera was low line. Instead I opted for a company with specialises in VW and Audi retro fit accessories. This company put a reversing camera into a previous Golf I owned. The parts are all VW acquired direct from VW in Germany. The true factory fit camera for a T-Cross is part of the boot opening mechanism and is a hi line camera with moving guides, it also interacts with parking sensors if they were factory fitted. The cost was ÂŁ800. You may get cheaper but in order to maintain warranty, VW parts should be fitted. I travelled 140 miles round trip to use this company as it's reputation is faultless. Depends where you are in the country. I used Advanced in car Technologies and they are based in Poole, Dorset. Advanced-incar.co.uk look on you tube at their videos. Hope this helps.

Same with mine, the T-Cross doesn't get the moving lines unfortunately.
